The evening brought together senior figures from diplomacy, government, international affairs, humanitarian work, academia and finance to mark the beginning of the Foundation and its work in peace, reconstruction and international cooperation.

Among those in attendance were Sir Liam Fox, Afzal Khan CBE MP, Cameron Hudson, Major General (Retd) James Cowan CBE DSO, Professor Yossi Mekelberg and Alexander Plekhanov, alongside leaders and specialists from organisations across the public, private and humanitarian sectors.

The inauguration provided a setting for open discussion around post-conflict recovery, regional cooperation, economic development and the role that dialogue can play in building more stable and resilient societies.

The Peace Builders Foundation was established to create an independent platform where different perspectives can meet, ideas can be exchanged and practical partnerships can develop around some of the world’s most complex challenges.

A significant evening for the Foundation, and the beginning of the work ahead.
